Extended Bio
Ming began composing at a young age and has developed a cross-cultural musical voice shaped by extensive study in both China and the UK. He is currently completing his undergraduate studies in Music Production and Composition in Cambridge, where he works closely with a group of mentors who have guided his development in scoring, contemporary writing, and artistic identity.
His recent works include Maternal Spring (solo piano), A Letter to Grandma (Chinese orchestral writing), Tears (woodwind quintet), and the visual score Trail of Light. Outside concert and media music, Ming has released over a hundred ambient and narrative-driven tracks on major music platforms, where he is known as 茗曲.
Ming is particularly interested in the emotional resonance of sound—how harmony, colour, and silence can shape personal and cinematic storytelling. He is currently expanding his work in narrative scoring and cross-cultural contemporary composition.
